Frequency Matched.
In the past the manufacturing process of guitars was left to the luck
of the draw. We identified the point in the building process that makes
the most impact on the sound.... the selection of the tops and backs
and instituted a new process that makes the selection based on tone
rather than which piece of wood is the next on the stack.
Using elements of tap tuning we select our tops and backs by a process
we call Frequency Matching. This produces a vibrant, rich tone that
makes even the smallest guitars sound huge.
Perfect intonation, across the fretboard.
Guitars by their very nature play consistently out of tune. This is why
singers generally prefer playing with a piano than a guitar. With a
guitar they have to adjust their pitch when the guitarist stops playing
open chords.
The Essential Series solves this problem using the Earvana Compensated
Tuning System (CTS). The Earvana CTS uses unique break-off points at
the nut and bridge resulting in perfect intonation across the entire
fretboard. Even using a capo is no problem with the Earvana system. So
sing loud and true, this guitar will not fool you.
Improved intonation is another way Hohner is Tuned In.
